Scrivener Publisher Description

Scrivener is a project management and writing tool for writers of all kinds that stays with you from that first unformed idea all the way through to the first - or even final - draft. Outline and structure your ideas; take notes; storyboard your masterpiece using a powerful virtual corkboard; view research while you write; track themes using keywords; dynamically combine multiple scenes into a single text. Scrivener has already been enthusiastically adopted by best-selling novelists and novices alike. Outline... Edit... Storyboard... Write.

OS: PPC/Intel
Requirements: Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
Whats new:
Version 1.055beta: This is a public beta of Scrivener 1.1 (although the beta is dubbed 1.0x). There are no limitations on it that are not present in the release version - that is, if you do not have a licence, this beta will expire after 30 days (as does the trial version); if you do, then this beta will not expire. Fixed up RTF image import so that it can handle pict files more easily and also so that it can interpret images inserted as objects by programs such as Nisus Pro. Moved bibliography manager preference to General Preferences (from Typography Preferences, where it didnt really make sense). Added preference for choosing the format of images when saved into RTF files. Previously, all images were converted to JPG when exported in an RTF file; now you can also choose to have them converted to PNG. (Note that PNG does not support compression.) Fixed project notes bugs whereby Scrivener links would be created in the wrong place and would not be saved between sessions. Fixed bug whereby contextual menu items for Scrivener links and highlight were greyed out in full screen notes panel. Changed internal name for default editor width preference. This will prevent problems upon updating to Scrivener 1.1 whereby users who have set a large editor width so that zooming the window fills the screen find that their text disappears off the right edge because of the fact that Fixed Width is now on by default. You should now enter zero into the Default Editor Width preference to get the editor to fill the screen, rather than an arbitrarily large number. Added options to Export Annotations for selecting to export only annotations from the currently selected files, and for inserting document titles into the exported RTF file. Checkbox states in Export Annotations and Export Files sheets are now saved between projects. Keyboard shortcut changes: To call forward the citation manager, you now just have to hit cmd-Y, the same as in Mellel and fitting in nicely with the way Bookends uses cmd-Y for pasting in citations. As a result, the keyboards shortcut for View > Show Script Elements Menu (which used to be cmd-Y) has also changed. This is now cmd-space, which means that you can now open the script menu with a quick tap of both thumbs at the bottom of the keyboard (which should be less of a stretch than cmd-Y for such a frequently-used menu for scriptwriters). Scriveners built-in MultiMarkdown package has now been updated to 2.0. (See the MultiMarkdown release notes here: http://fletcherpenney.net/Version\_History.) Note that this change will have no effect if you already have a version of MultiMarkdown installed in Application Support, as Scrivener uses the version there if it exists so that it can take advantage of any user-customised files. Added Navigation preference to open folders in Edit Scrivenings mode by default. (Note: when this option is selected, hold down the Function key to select a folder on its own, not in Edit Scrivenings mode, so that you can toggle into corkboard or outliner mode if you so wish.)
